Da Oscars

The first time in about...EVER. "The Academy" gave a lest three movies
worth the title "Best Picture" a nomination.
But again they blew it! The "Real" best picture only received one nomination.
Best Actor.

This is a film deserving of it's mention.

Cute movie, doesn't belong in this category though. It had huge print and media blitz in the last month. Kind'a like last years "Little Miss Sunshine".

They tried to sell this film a hundred ways from Sunday. It's still a bore!

The "Coen Brothers" have made the best films of the last twenty years or more...;"Fargo", "The Big Lebowski", "Blood Simple", "Miller's Crossing", Raising Arizona"... better than any other film maker . This is one is one their best! All their films are heavily character based with crazy obscured story lines. Always beautifully written. Hopefully Da Brothers will finally receive what they deserve. An Oscar.

I Just seen this film and I gotta say this maybe the "Best Picture"that was nominated! I Loved It!! Paul Thomas Anderson is one of my favorite directors and this movie maybe his best work yet? Daniel Day Lewis is the second best actor of our generation and he's at his best since "his role of "Bill The Butcher" in "Gangs Of New York". There is a huge moral to this story, much like Anderson's other films "Magnolia" and "Boogie Nights". This movie is every bit as good as the Coen's, maybe better?

This is the real best picture : "Eastern Promises".

Again the Academy Of Motion Pictures & Sciences. Missed the mark.

They're afraid to reward David Cronenberg with the trophy he so

richly deserves.

Two years ago they snubbed him for "A History Of Violence".

That was the weakest crop of movies ever to be nominated.

This year is way stronger, but it still was a slight, on purpose!

See it. You'll be mesmerized by Viggo Mortensen!

I have some movie watching to do.

I'll post where the Oscars are held this week.
I was shocked at how "simple" the place really is

OK T.K. I'll look forward to it.

Rent "Eastern Promises". It will be an intense experience fer ya.

RIP Heath Ledger!

Keshi.

Ya that was a strange thing with that guy eh?

He had the world by the tail, but couldn't cope with life, drugs, or family. Great actor though. He would'a been huge come this summer, with that "Joker" role. He'd be the next ten million dollar man!

What a waste.

Ya never know who has the troubled sole.

The Oscars are fixed or "Peewee's Big Adventure" would have got a shout out from the ubersnobs that run the thing.

Hey Kid and Keshi.

Kid that movie is brilliant! I dunno if ya meant that facetiously or not? "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" was done by a then unknown director/writer Tim Burton. I don't see why it didn't get nominated then I don't see why now!
Who won that year anyhow? 1985? I think or 86? 87??? Wait I'll look it up

I love that film!

"Out'a Frig'n Africa"!!!

Ya gotta be kid'n me???

There were four great films nominated that year.

The Color Purple, Steven Spielberg, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Quincy Jones, producers (Warner Bros.)

Kiss of the Spider Woman, David Weisman, producer (Island Alive)

Prizzi's Honor, John Foreman, producer (Twentieth Century-Fox)

Witness, Edward S. Feldman, producer (Paramount).

And Out of Africa, Sydney Pollack, producer (Universal) IT WON! That movie is so forgetable!!??

So ya "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" Should have been Nominated!
