Some of Hollywood's "green" celebrities—Rosario Dawson, Ed Begley, Jr., and a bevy of starlets—thought they were promoting organic school gardens for inner-city kids.

But the Environmental Media Association (EMA) teamed them up with a secretive corporation, Kellogg Garden Products, whose main business is selling Los Angeles sewage sludge products!

That company calls its Kellogg brand "quality organics" and deceptively labels bags sold at the garden store as "garden soil" made from "compost"—with no mention of which products are made from industrial and human waste which contains tens of thousands of contaminants such as dioxin, PCBs, medical waste, industrial solvents and chemicals, heavy metals, endocrine disruptors, and flame retardants, among others. That's why federal law bars the use of sewage sludge-based products in organic gardens.

So, when news broke that Kellogg Garden Products provided sewage sludge products to EMA's "organic" school gardens—and its spokesperson even posed with sewage sludge-derived products at the gardens—you'd think EMA and its stars would cut all ties to the sludge industry.

But you'd be wrong. Instead of denouncing the contamination of the kids' gardens and the corporation's effort to "greenwash" its brand through associating with stars devoted to organic produce, EMA is sticking with its corporate donor. So far.

Help us tell Hollywood it's not green to partner with a company that put sewage sludge on school gardens and that sells this stuff without labeling it to say "This product is derived from sewage sludge."

MAIN IRAQI FACTIONS

SHIITES
They are the majority of Iraq's 28 million people. Shiites were brutally repressed by Saddam Hussein, but took back political power with a coalition of parties in parliament. Some factions have been linked with armed militias.
Dawa Party: Split between two factions, it's the oldest organized Shiite Islamist party. Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki controls one faction and led in the recent provincial poll.
Sadr Trend: Headed by popular young anti-American cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, who may return as a coalition partner of Dawa after recent election. Sadr's militia, the Mahdi Army, has now fractured, and he is focusing on political rather than military gains.
Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council: Headed by Shiite cleric Abdul-Aziz al-Hakim and close to the Badr Brigade militia, now part of Iraq's national security forces. Ally of Dawa, but more pro-Iranian, and losing popular support.
Iraqi National Congress: Faction headed by Ahmed Chalabi, a rotating president of Iraq Governing Council, and once mooted by Washington to replace Saddam. Faction has switched alliances since the invasion and has little broad popular support.

SUNNIS

They are a significant minority in Iraq. Dominant in Saddam's Iraq, Sunnis suffered attacks and displacement after his overthrow, and some joined violent rebellions. They hold more than 50 seats in the 275-member Iraqi parliament.
Iraqi Accord Front: Fractious coalition of three parties led by deputy president Tariq al-Hashimi and including his large Iraqi Islamic Party. It is opposed to U.S. troops remaining in Iraq and to the country's draft oil law, which it says favours foreign companies.
Iraqi Front for National Dialogue: Bloc headed by former Baathist Saleh al-Mutlak, with power base in Saddam's home province of Salah ad-Din province. Views similar to Iraqi Accord Front.

Awakening Councils: a movement of tribal groups formed to fight al Qaeda militants, they are now working to form a political base, hampered by internal power struggles.

KURDS
Once brutalized by Saddam, Iraq's third main minority is largely Sunni and inhabits the most peaceful and prosperous part of Iraq, an autonomous territory in the north.
Kurdistan Alliance: Formerly warring factions, the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan jointly run the Kurdistan Regional Government. PUK leader Jalal Talabani is Iraq's president. Both parties want more control over Iraq's oil, and are influential in determining Iraq's contentious draft oil law. The Alliance includes several smaller parties.

SECULAR
Iraqi National Accord: Leads a small secular bloc headed by Ayad Allawi, a Shiite but former Saddam ally, then leader of an exiled student opposition. Was former prime minister; now boycotts the cabinet.

It's Missing! In the "Time Magazine" archives, this cover is missing!

I wonder why this is? Could it be that the article on da cover is maybe not very "Politically Correct"? It was about a "Global Threat", right? Why would this cover be missing? Good thing I don't believe in conspiracies, or this one would be at the top of my list. The cover back in '74 suggests that we are very near a time of great doom...."Another Ice Age"! Funny that the world 30 years ago was getting colder and now it's quite the opposite. Look I don't wanna step on any toes here, I just wanna give ya the truth...And da truth is...There isn't such thing as "Global Warming"! At lest not the "Global Warming" theories that Al Gore proselytizes. We, the beings on this Earth, that means everyone, the USA, Canada, China, India...everyone, create about 3% of the carbon that's in the atmosphere. The rest of da 97% is being created by 1) Volcanoes 2) Rotting Vegetation 3) Forest Fires...etc...And who's ta say that carbon would create a warm'n trend? If you read anything about huge amounts of carbon being displaced into our atmosphere such as eg: A volcanic eruption. Quite the contrary synopses happens. The Earth Cools! Thus da article: "September 24th, 1974 Time Magazine"! on da "New Ice Age".

The "Church Of Scientology" is spend'n huge coif's of cash to promote the Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes nuptials this weekend in Italy . They're pull'n out all the stops and using big stars to make this "union" seem natural . It's anything but a marriage , it's a publicity stunt to the 1st . degree .

I haven't seen press like this , about a marriage since the royal wedding of Dianna & Spock...er I mean Charles . And it's all positive shit , it all talks about their love for each other . Of coarse it also is followed by a inside piece about a Scientology wedding or a pro-Scientology background . I've never seen a "cult" get this kind of good publicity . The worst of the crop of the "entertainment type shows" is "Access Hollywood with Billy Bush" . He's a obvious shill for "da Church" ! His tongue has been up Cruise's asshole for over 2 years . That hasn't happened since Rosie kissed "Tommy's" ass 10 years ago and we all know what she was hide'n !
